#2 Planning a trip to Australia




I have collected useful travel information you need, including visa , customs, duty-free shopping and insurance .

FLIGHT

Many airlines fly to Australia and the prices are quite different . Therefore, make your own comparison before buying . Consider the length of the flight and any mandatory stopovers . Start by contacting the major airlines or local Aussie Specialist travel agent you .
Transportation to the airport. All international airports in Australia have regular public transport such as buses , trains and taxis and private vehicles to the city center . The shuttle bus is also available and take you to the property.

CRUISE

Many international cruise ship stopover in Australian cities , and there are opportunities to take excursions inland and then back to the ship or stay longer and fly back after that. Most cruise ship stopover on the Australian coast during the summer months .

VISA
Unless you are an Australian or New Zealand , you need a visa to enter Australia . New Zealand passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival in Australia . All other passport holders must apply for a visa before leaving your country . CUSTOMS AND QUARANTINE

Australian customs law prohibits you from bringing drugs , steroids, weapons , firearms and protected species in Australia . Some common items such as food , fruits , eggs , meat , plants, seeds , skin and coat fresh or packaged also prohibited. There is no limit on currency but you must declare amounts over $ 10,000. MEDICINES

VACCINATION

You do not require vaccinations unless you come from , or have visited the country with yellow fever infection , within a period of 6 days before your arrival . Read Australian government fact sheet yellow fever.

INSURANCE

Taking a travel insurance policy that covers theft , loss, accidents and medical problems is highly recommended . If you plan to do extreme sports like scuba diving , bungee jumping, motorcycling, skiing and bushwalking, check that your policy covers you completely. The Australian Government has reciprocal agreements with other countries that include limited subsidized health services for medical care through Medicare .   • Australian climate

Australia's climate varies across the continent, from topika warm and comfortable down the snowy north to south . Our season against the winter in the northern hemisphere . Between December and February is summer in most areas of Australia , and the wet season in the tropical north. Australian winter from June to August is generally mild, but offers snow in the southern mountain regions and dry and bright day in the northern states . time zone

Australia has three time zones : Eastern Standard Time ( EST ) to the eastern states , Central Standard Time ( CST ) for the Northern Territory and South Australia and Western Standard Time ( WST ) for Western Australia . CST is half an hour behind EST and WST is two hours behind EST .

  • Daylight Saving

Most Australian states wind their clocks forward one hour during Daylight Saving New South Wales , Australian Capital Territory , Victoria , Tasmania and South Australia do this from the beginning of October to early April. Northern Territory , Western Australia and Queensland does not have Daylight Saving
